The luxurious softness of Alpaca fibre will give you an amazing feeling. It is much softer than sheep's wool.

This softness means you will not have that itchy feeling that you get with other fibres.

Your Alpaca throw is a natural thermostat in that it will keep you warm when it is cold and cool when it is hot.

The natural water-resistance of alpaca fibre will protect you from moisture.

Alpaca fibre is a lightweight and natural material so you won’t feel restricted and weighed down. It allows you easy and freedom of movement

Bedroom throws can be folded horizontally at the foot of the bed, used as a bed runner, or draped along a bench where they're easily accessible.

Throw blankets can be an easy (and cheap) way to update your home decor. Change up your space for the holidays, for a new season, or just because

Of course, throw blankets are smart on porches and decks, too. They can amp up your outdoor style while being a practical accessory for those chilly nights.

Add texture to your sofa or bedroom with a fun pom-pom alpaca throw!

Alpaca fibre is considered by the fashion industry to be one the greenest, most natural and softest fibres in the world.

It is prized for its unique silky and luxurious feel and has a lesser tendency to pilling.

This fibre comes from small artisanal farmers in the Peruvian highlands who work by traditional farming methods and a close eye is kept on sustainability.

Artisan Profile

In the earliest Peruvian history, you will find examples of the bond between the Incas and alpaca.

The Incas placed a higher value on alpaca fibre than gold or silver.

The knowledge and craftsmanship of spinning and knitting have been passed down from generation to generation, resulting in the rich, diverse textile heritage of Peru.

New patterns are combined with traditional methods, giving an innovative touch without losing the ethical heritage.

The alpaca lives mostly without any boundaries in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes and are not harmed during the shearing process.

Their soft padded feet are gentle on the grass terrain and they graze without destroying the root system of the area.

Alpaca is the only animal that produces up to 28 natural colours and can be blended into an infinite array of natural shades from inky black to warm chestnuts and snowy white.

It is easily dyed in any colour and always retains its natural lustre.

Alpaca is supple and smooth to the touch and because of the featherweight, it’s ultra-light.

Alpaca is softer than cashmere and warmer and stronger than lamb’s wool.

It contains microscopic air pockets which create lightweight clothing with excellent insulating properties.

It is a completely natural fibre and there is no use of harsh chemicals in production.
